Hm…The Korea Herald folks are saying that an elderly man, 66-year-old, with the last name Kim stabbed the Democratic Party of Korea chairman, 59-year-old Lee Jae-myung.
According to The Korea Herald folks, Mr. Kim concocted a plan whereby he would show up at Lee Jae-myung’s event as a supporter.
Once there, Kim would use the act of “fanboying” over the chairman in order to lure him in close enough to put the dagger in him. Kim was like, “Mr. Chairman, I support you and only you. I’m such a big fan. May I have an autograph?”
Not really paying attention to the fact that the ol’ dude was off his rockers, Lee Jae-myung was like, “Sure, sure, you can have an autograph.”
Seeing that the chairman had bought his act, Kim came in and struck the chairman in the neck with a 7.09 inch knife. The chairman quickly grabbed his neck and his security guards quickly tackled Kim to the ground.
The Korea Herald folks reported that Lee Jae-myung was first taken to Pusan National University. He would’ve stayed there if all of that blood hadn’t continued to leak out of his neck. Due to the doctors concern that a jugular vein had been damaged, Lee Jae-myung was flown to Seoul National University Hospital.
Here are some important things to keep in mind about the jugular veins. There are six jugular veins. Out of the six, there are three jugular veins that tend to keep the docs up at night. And those three are the exterior jugular vein, the interior jugular vein, and the anterior jugular vein.
The exterior jugular vein goes from the back of your head, all the way down to both sides of your spine. The interior jugular vein goes from inside your skull, all the way down both sides of your spine. It’s also located under the neck muscles. The anterior jugular vein are in your neck, in the front, on both sides of your windpipe.
Currently, there haven’t been any reports about which jugular vein has the doctors concern. Having said that, it gotta be that internal jugular vein. That sucka is the one that locks hands with the subclavian veins, which are up under your collarbone, forming the brachiocephalic veins. The brachiocephalic veins come together to form the superior vena cava vein. The superior vena cava vein carries all of that extra blood from the head, neck, arms, and upper chest area to the heart.
Basically, the superior vena cava vein is the body’s drainage system for, according to the Cedars-Sinai folks, “the head, neck, arms, and upper chest” areas. Therefore, if you cut that interior jugular vein, then you will mess up your drainage system and create a back flow of blood that sends you out the door.
Just to be clear, nobody has said which jugular vein got the doctors nervous. The one thing we do know, though, is that the docs are nervous and that interior jugular vein is the one vein that will have a group of doctors shaking like lawyers trying to hide a client’s trust fund money from him.
Speaking of shaking like fatback in a skillet, Kim is in a lot of trouble, trouble. He did use a deadly weapon in an attempt to kill a fellow human being. And that there has led to Prosecutor General Lee One-seok looking into hitting Kim with terrorism charges.
According to the folks over at The Korea Herald, Prosecutor General Lee One-seok has told the head honcho over at the Busan High Prosecutors’ Office to get the best of the best fellas and gals he can find to be like gasoline on fire when solving this case: “The prosecutor general has asked that a special probe team be formed in consideration of the gravity of the issue as an act of terrorism against a political party representative.”
You read it right! “An act of terrorism” is how Prosecutor Lee is defining that because he knows that the attempted killing or killing of a politician is nothing but a quick slide down to the killing of everyday folks, which leads to the disintegration of society. The one thing Prosecutor General Lee One-seok ain’t gonna have is the South Korean society disintegrating.
Welp, po’ Mr. Kim got to go to prison for a while.
